Pilates



Pilates is a form of gymnastics created at the beginning of the 20th century by Joseph Pilates. This discipline brings many benefits for the body and health. Pilates can be practiced anywhere as far as floor exercises are concerned and does not require any equipment other than a mat thick enough to be able to perform all the movements without pain. The Pilates method aims to strengthen the core muscles, lengthen the spine, develop muscle tone and increase body awareness according to six principles: control of movement, breathing, fluidity of movement, precision, centering and stability.
